The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) have signed a development phase agreement with The Ottawa Hospital Build Partners (TOHBP) to deliver a new hospital in downtown Ottawa.

The hospital is being planned and built through a public-private partnership. The Ottawa Hospital Build Partners will work collaboratively with TOH, IO, and the Ontario Ministry of Health (OMH) to finalize the design, pricing, schedule, risk parameters, and project requirements for the new hospital. Once the development phase is successfully completed, it is expected that TOH will enter into a fixed-price project agreement to design, build, finance, and maintain the project.

TOHBP team includes:

  • Applicant leads: PCL Investments Inc & ED Capital Inc (collectively, The Ottawa Hospital Build Partners)
  • Design leads: Parkin Architects Ltd & Adamson Associates Architects
  • Construction team: PCL Constructors Canada Inc. and EllisDon Corporation Joint Venture (JV)
  • Financial advisor: PCL Investments Inc. & ED Capital Inc.

“Signing this agreement is an enormous milestone for the new campus project. Our collaborative efforts with all of our partners will reshape the future of health care across the region for our community for generations to come,” said Cameron Love, president and CEO of The Ottawa Hospital.
