The Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA) honoured its professionals and projects, such as the Mosaic Centre for Conscious Community and Commerce in Edmonton, at its Game Changer Awards Gala last month.
The awards recognize those who have shown excellence in service, leadership, and innovation over the last year. The Mosaic building was named Solar PV Project of the Year for its use of photovoltaics.
“The solar industry has made huge strides in the last few years,” said John Gorman, the group’s CEO. “Canada competes globally due in large part to individuals and companies in the solar industry who show leadership, and take innovation, technology, and research to a new level. We feel it is important to recognize special achievements and we congratulate all winners at the 2015 Game Changer Awards.”
A few of the other winners recognized at the gala on March 26 in Toronto include:
- Solar Power Woman of Distinction: Michelle Chislette, vice-president (VP) of SunEdison;
- Solar Industry Leader: Brian Bentz, CEO of PowerStream;
- Emerging Solar Leader: Jonathan Frank, Business Development Manager at SunEdison; and
- President’s Solar Award: Jen Aitchison, partner at Jones Brown.
