
The Building Performance Institute (BPI) has opened up nominations for the 2015 Tony Woods Award, and is looking for inductees for the Industry Hall of Fame.
The Tony Woods Award for Excellence in Advancing the Home Performance Industry recognizes individuals who have dedicated themselves to advancing the home performance industry. This year’s award will be presented at the Affordable Comfort Incorporated (ACI) National Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, in May.
Nominees will be judged based on criteria such as:
- recognized effort at promoting and advancing quality assurance for the home performance industry;
- development and introduction of new standards and certifications;
- expansion of home performance with EnergyStar programs; and
- demonstrated success in professionalizing the industry.
The late Woods contributed numerous articles to Construction Canada including:
- “Don’t Forget Your ABCs: Air barrier commissioning and the building envelope;”
- “Better, Greener Buildings are in the Air;” and
- “Boosting Insulation Performance with Air Barriers.”
BPI is also searching for inductees for the Industry Hall of Fame, which recognizes individuals with lifetime achievement in the home performance industry. These individuals have made impacts on the industry with lasting impressions.
