Toronto subway station leads the way north

York University will be one of the stops along the Toronto Transit Commission's subway extension. Designed by James McGrath from Foster & Partners, the station will be Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-compliant.

 

A subway extension from Toronto's Downsview station to the city of Vaughan is expected to be complete late 2015, and its new green station designs have been revealed.
